'Madrid Sunday Shopping' arrives today at "Barrio de Salamanca" district with different recommendations. For five Sundays in a row , the "Barrio Salamanca" district will host this initiative, undertaken by the City of Madrid in collaboration with the Madrid Association of Restoration (AMER), "S Moda" magazine and the of Specialist Trading Confederation of Madrid.
AMER told us that "since September 2011 in the districts of Castellana and Recoletos, are important luxury tourist area, the opening of business and shops has not reflected a significant increase during this time."
The initiative, which began last May 27th and ends on June 24, where you will experience all kinds of exhibitions will take place, giant shoes all round the streets, a 'Flash Mob' on opening days with 50 dancers performing live on the street, skaters wearing campaign t-shirts or bags...that will encourage visitors to go to places where to have a drink or a break during this shopping day.
